The frequency synthesiser has a converter, a control and an oscillator. The converter, the control and the oscillator are connected to form a control loop. The control consists of a comparator or operational amplifier. A reference signal source is provided. The converter is supplied with the reference signal and with the oscillator signal. The converter is constructed so that it generates a dc component dependent on the ratio of the two frequencies at its inputs. This dependency may be proportionality or a specified functional relationship.
