In a high voltage breaker the quenching gaz (SF6) is conducted through a filter (3 9) for cleaning and drying surfaces. The circulation of the quenching gaz is provided by a container (4) filled with this gaz which is alternatly heated and cooled. The container is connected (2, 11) with the inside of the breaker.
