The broaching machine consists of a base (1) in which two actuators (13, 14) are mounted. the piston rods (11, 12) of the actuators extend vertically upward and are guided in a horizontal cross beam (6). The two piston rods are interconnected by a cross bar (10). A vertical rod (8) is attached to the centre of the cross bar and is guided vertically in bushes (7) mounted in the cross beam. A broach (9) is mounted at the end of this rod and is forced through the workpiece (3) by the actuators.
