<p>Padding inlay for packing chocolates or similar confectionery is made of composite material comprising a plastics carrier film with moulded projections on both sides. The cross-section of the projections is vagely semi-spherical or rectangular with a section at the end, parallel to the plane of the film. The projections are covered by a further flexible ply. Each projection thus forms a stepped body whose top has a smaller dia. than its associated base whilst the transitional zone between base and top has useful elasticity serving to improve the impact-absorbing characteristics of the article.</p> |
