A crimping tool is used for bunlding the ends of insulated conductor strands. There is a continuous feed of a strip with a clip on one side and claws at the other. The crimping tool (4) consists of an upper and lower die (5, 7) which are attached to jaws (2, 3). The strip feed comes to a stop plate (9) attached to the lower die. It is severed at a fixed length and wrapped around the bundle.
