Automatic positioning of pouring spout - by permanent magnets on travelling tables and proximity sensors on casting device

The automatic positioning of a casting device relative to the gates of moulds on travelling tables is achieved by proximity sensors which pass their signals to the fine adjustment drive of the casting device carriage. They operate in conjunction with permanent magnets on the travelling tables and a coil on the casting device. This achieves an exact alignment of the pouring spout of the casting device with the gate of each mould. If a higher capacity is demanded, this alignment can be maintained even during the cyclic motion of the travelling tables.
