A device for pref. visual inspection and adjustment of colour differences by comparative examination has a light source and colour adjustment table and is primarily applicable to the printing industry. It provides special observation conditions compared to other known devices. In partic., the surface on which the sample is placed is curved to eliminated glazing effects. The surface may be concave, in partic. having a spherical or elliptical section. The radius of the surface is variable. The can be rotated about the centre of curvature and moved vertically and horizontally.
