<p>Compsn. for cleaning articles made of heat-solid glass or glass-ceramic (esp. glass boiling flasks etc.) comprises an anhydrous cleaning compsn. which also contains >=1 organosilicon cpd. (I) which forms a protective layer on the treated surfaces. Pref. (A) is a silicone resin, pref. dissolved in ethylene glycol acetate, xylene or toluene, and the compsn. includes as soil-dissolving agent (poly)ethylene glycol, (poly)propylene glycol or diglycol. Alternatively (A) is a silicone oil. When a resin is used (polymeric) butyl titanate can be included as hardening accelerator. Compsns. are pref. formulated with >=20 (25-40) wt.% liq. carrier, esp. isopropanol, and a cellulose ether thickener may be included. Compsn. not only cleans but also protects the surface against surface cracking and discolouration by metal oxides. The compsn. is simple and convenient to use and does not cause ugly smearing of the cleaned surfaces.</p> |
