<p>An improved anchor assembly (10) for retaining an elongated fastener member within an opening defined by a wall portion having at least one concealed side. Such devices typically comprise at least two elongated leg members (11), means 14) for connecting a pair of adjacent end portions (13) of the leg members (11), an apertured anchor member (18) coupled to the legs (11) at opposite end portions (16) and a collar member (22) secured to the legs (11) for sandwiching the wall portion between the collar (22) and the anchor member (18). The improvement comprises providing each of the legs (11) with respective coupling studs (17) aligned along their major transverse dimensions for engaging substantially longitudinal flanges (20) from anchor member (18) on either side thereof for attaching the legs (11) across the minor dimensions of the anchor (18). </p> |
