Apparatus as described in parent Specification has one processing station constituting a drying container 6, the container having at its lower end a discharge opening 7 for dry air flowing through the container, a blast nozzle 11 having a slot-like horizontal blowing orifice 9 parallel to the plane of a plate 3 being pivotally mounted at its upper edge in such manner that the mouth of the nozzle can be retracted away from the plane of the plate to enable introduction and removal of the plate from the container. The nozzle is moved by a hydraulic piston mechanism controlled in dependence on the vertical movement of the carrier frame 1, e.g. by the use of limit switches. The drive for the nozzle also controls the movement of a restrictor positioned in the air supply pipe so as to cut-off the supply of dry air when the nozzle is moved away from its operative position. |
