<p>The instrument case is easily assembled and dismantled to allow the scale to be readily replaced without damaging the meter movement. It comprises an upper and lower plastics shell of similar form. The front is enclosed by a snap-on frame. Both halves are fixed together via snap fasteners moulded into the side members. Retaining bars snap into the sides to prevent the fasteners from becoming unlocked. The front glass can remain in the grooves provided in each half of the housing when one of the halves is removed to replace the scale. The meter movement is screwed to a base plate (5) which is retained in a groove around the front edge. The front glass is centred by the base plate. The movement is positioned in the right -hand corner for added protection.</p> |
