An extruded synthetic resin tube 25 is cooled by cooled air or gas circulated therein by means of an electric fan 13, 14, 15 working in cooperation with a gas or liquid cooled coil 10 housed within a sleeve 9. In operation, air or gas is initially introduced via conduit 19 to be cooled by coil 10 and is then blown through adjustable outlet 16 by fan 15 to absorb heat from the wall of tube 25 prior to re-entering sleeve 9 via inlets 18. Thereafter the gas is continuously recycled. Blowers 23, 24 cool the tube externally. |
