ENGINE COOLING DEVICE FOR MOTOR CYCLE

PURPOSE:To improve engine cooling effect by providing on foot rest bars a covering which is adapted to function as an air guide plate. CONSTITUTION:A convering plate 2 consisting of a horizontal face 2a and an inclined face 2b is formed to fit over a foot rest bar 1. A continuous fin 2c is formed at the front end of the incliner face 2b of the covering plate 2 rectangularly projecting towards the engine (b). The length of projection of the fin 2c is gradually reduced from the bottom part upwards so as to provide an air passage of uniform section around the engine (b) which is mounted between a pair of covering plates 2. Air stream flowing against the motor cycle impinge against the fin 2c and is deflected towards the engine (b) so that the engine (b) is effectively cooled.
