An abnormal condition detector (5) detects an abnormal condition of an electric apparatus (1) by sampling an insulating fluid filled in the electric apparatus (1) under a pressurized condition and detecting a change of the condition of an indicator which changes its colour if induced by an acidic gas in the sampled insulating fluid.
