Preparation of novel ergopeptins of the formula I having vasoactive properties <IMAGE> in which R1 denotes alkyl having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, by condensation of a reactive, functional derivative of an acid corresponding to the acid portion of the amide of the formula I with an amine corresponding to the amine portion of the formula I in salt form. The compounds can be employed as anti-migraine preparations and, on account of their action increasing the venous tone, also for the treatment of orthostatic complaints.
