A seal of high tensile strength steel for securing together the ends of non-metallic straps is of rectangular shape as seen in developed plan view, and of approximately M-shape in crosssection as shown in Fig. 3, which also shows the strap ends 14, 16. The underside of the seal is formed with parallel gripping portions 30, Figs. 2 and 4, each pair of portions 30 defining a groove 32 therebetween. |
