In a travelling wave shedding loom in which dummy shuttles 18 are propelled by oscillating .blades 19, the shuttles are guided from the edge of the shed to a receiving device 41 by guide members 38, 42. The guide members are slotted to allow passage of the shuttles and mounted between spacers 39 as units 30, 36. The arrangement allows the shuttles to reach the receiver, from where they are returned to the other side of the loom, whatever width of cloth is being woven the number of units provided depends on the cloth width. The weft ends are cut by a device 32 and removed via a suction tube 34. |
