<p>PURPOSE:To discharge completely treated water by preventing sludge from poor sedimentation in an active sludge treatment of organic waste water or the like, the aeration is performed according to the relation between indices of the aeration time and the sludge quantity which are programmed in terms of each type of treatment and BOD loads. CONSTITUTION:The quantity of air required for aeration treatment per hour Q (m<2>/hr) is calculated from the equation: Q=E.B.Q'.P/t (where Q': discharged water quantity per day, t: aeration hour per day, B: factor when a 1000ppm BOD in raw water is assumed as 1, E: factor depending on the type of waste water treatment, P: standard air quantity required for BOD 1000ppm in 1m<3> of waste water). For example, E is 0.5 for life sewage, 1 for fish processing, 1.2 for soybeen cheese or noodle processing, and P is 100m<2>/day from experiences. The calculated quantity of air requirements are used for aeration treatment which is intermittently repeated during treatment to avoid direct contact of raw sewage and sludge, thus preventing poor sedimentation.</p> |
