<p>PURPOSE:To prevent galling of the sliding portions of pins by inserting in a hole for slidably guiding a caliper a cylindrical bush through elastic members and slidably inserting pins in the bush. CONSTITUTION:During braking operation the braking torque acting on friction pads 30 and 40 is born by a pair of arms (only one 22 of which is shown) of an adapter fixed according to the vehicle running direction, and the deformation of the arms increases the pitch between a pair of pins (of which only one 70 is shown). A cylindrical metal bush 26 is inserted in a hole 24 of the arm 22 through elastic members such as square rings 71 and 72, and the pin 70 fixed to a caliper 50 is slidably inserted in the bush 26. By this constitution, since the increase in the pitch between the pins is absorbed by the elastic deformation of the rings 71 and 72, the sliding portion of the pin 70 can be prevented from deforming and galling, the skid resistance of the caliper 50 is reduced, and the dragging phenomenon of the pads 30 and 40 can be prevented.</p> |
