PURPOSE:To provide a non-linear spring having various kinds of applications which is consisted of laminated springs having their end edges holding a central spring fixed to the base, and having spacers between the central spring and the laminated springs. CONSTITUTION:The non-linear spring is consisted of the central solid body 11, cantilever springs 12, 13, laminated springs 14-17, spacers 18-21 and bases 22 and 23. When a force of F is applied, the spring may be compressed in a range from a thickness V2 to O of the spacer, so that the spring is acted as three springs when a value of F is in O-F2 to show a linear characteristic. When an excessive force of F1 is applied, the central springs 12 and 13 and two laminated springs 14 and 15 are applied and a displacement of them is rapidly increased in respect of the unit load. This shows that a solidity of spring is varied when a force applied to the spring 10 is in 0-F2 and is higher than F2 and in case of latter one, a characteristic of loose spring is demonstrated to show a non-linear characteristic. |
