PURPOSE:To enable the necessary strength at the molding of wax patterns by melting and mixing the respectively specified amounts of sublimatable material as a binder and PE base surfactants to the mixed refractory aggregate composed of one or more kinds of ceramic raw materials such as Al2O3, ZrO2, etc. then molding the mixture to cores and subjecting the same to sublimation in a vacuum. CONSTITUTION:Sublimatable materials such as paradichlorobenzene, naphthalene, etc. 2-30% as a binder and PE base surfactants 0.2-5% are melted and mixed in mixed refractory aggregate composed of one or more kinds of ceramic raw material such as Al2O3, ZrO2, etc. Next, the resultant core raw material is molded with molds and the binders are sublimated in a vacuum for about 3 hours. Further the molding is dipped in colloidal silica for about 5 hours in a vacuum, after which it is left standing in the atmosphere to be allowed to dry. the use of this core yields the precision castings which have no problems in production, de-waxing and casting of wax patterns and are good in both dimensional accuracy and surfaces. |
