<p>PURPOSE:To improve the digital sytem operating characteristics of a computer or the like by employing a light signal instead of an electric signal at the input and output of a signal between semiconductors to thereby improve the signal transmitting characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of plane electrodes 6 are provided on an insulating substrate 5 such as ceramic or the like, and bonded with projected electrodes 4 of semiconductor pellet 1 provided with circuit function of the semiconductor device. Further, the projected electrodes 4 of semiconductor pellet 2 having a plurality of photodetectors are similarly bonded to the electrodes 6, and the projected electrodes 4 of the semiconductor pellet 3 provided with a plurality of light emitting elements are similarly bonded thereto. Then, light transmitting element 7 such as glass fiber or the like is made contact with the pellets 2 and 3 through the substrate 5, and power pins 8 are connected to the respective pellets as provided externally at the container. Thus, when a light signal is applied to the pellet 2, it can operate the internal circuit of the pellet 1, and produce a light output from the pellet 3 from the output of the pellet 1.</p> |
