<p>The agricultural weeding machine which removes the roots of the weeds, is designed for use where the ground is covered at a lower level by a plastics sheet. The machine is pulled by a tractor and has a rectangular frame travelling on runners at the level of the sheet. Inside the frame are supported three rotary cutters driven from the power take-off of the tractor. Each cutter rotates about a vertical axis, mounted at the bottom of a vertical drive shaft, with the drives at the top. The two blades of the cutters are shallow, sloping downwards, and carry tangential cutters at their tips.</p> |
