<p>The base of the generator is conical and the outer surface of the cone is constructed as a solar energy collector. The heat absorbed is transferred to the inside of the cone and raises the temperature of the air in the space (A) within the cone. There is an air inlet at the base of the cone and an outlet at the top of the cone is connected to a very tall vertical or oblique chimney, the hot air rises up the chimney and rotates a propeller wheel (12) within the chimney. The wheel is connected by a belt drive to an electrical generator (14) outside the chimney.</p> |
