<p>The sorting machine comprises several closed slides which are formed from resilient ropes which are stretched over drivable rollers (5-8) which are mounted axially parallel wherein the ropes diverge in the running direction between two rollers (5, 6). The ropes, which are pref. rubber cables having a round cross-section thus form as a whole a conveyor belt which normally runs horizontal. Only the small potatoes and dirt fall through at the point where the spacings between the ropes are small and the larger potatoes fall through as the spacings become wider. The different sizes of potatoes can thus be collected up in hoppers etc. placed beneath the belt.</p> |
