In an oil distributor valve (1), delivery pressure from the main inlet (21a) forces the servo spool (6) to one end of its cylinder (3), thus opening a passageway (9) and admitting pressure to the reversing spool (7). Through further passageways (11, 25), pressure then passes to the end of the control spool and one outlet (31). Above a certain pressure, a relief valve (29) in the main inlet (21a) opens, the spool positions alter, and oil passes instead to the second outlet (32). Shortly after, the pressure falls, the relief valve (29) closes and thus an alternating distribution is established.
