The profile rail or side jaw is made from a material subject to wear such as aluminium or an aluminium alloy. It is used for a friction roller track with a side guide surface and a raised upper surface relative to the friction rollers. The upper sides of the profile rails are fitted with a covering made from a wear resistant material such as steel. The wear resistant covering is shaped to fully cover the upper side of the profile rail and forms a projection relative to the interior side of the profile rails or to a guide ledge fitted on them on that side which faces the friction rollers.
