The basket or container, has two grids (1, 2) which are used as a flat grid or adjusted to form a dish-like or angled container for chicken pieces. The two grids are pref. each divided longitudinally parallel to the axis of rotation A-a into two grid vanes (3, 4, 5, 6). Each vane is then connected together by an articulated rod (15, 16). The movable two grids are mounted in lateral transverse webs which in turn are connected together so that the grids mounted on the webs are swivelled out at one of their longitudinal sides to place the food in between the two grids.
