The machine used includes a row of punches forming a straight horizontal surface on which the scored glass is placed; and each punch is aligned below a row of upper punches applying a pressure (P1) on the glass. Pressure (P1) is successively released along the two rows of punches while the lower punches are simultaneously and successively lowered by a specific amt.; punches are then used for the successive application of a pressure (P2) on the glass so the latter breaks into a row of separate pieces. Specifically two long strips are bonded together by glass solder frames to make a continuous row of cells intended to contain liq. crystals. The resulting laminate is then scored; and the invention coverts the laminate into separates cells. A laser beam can be used to score the laminate; and the cells are used e.g. for electronic watches.
