The single-chain conveyor is particularly for transporting coal and stone in a trough, the chain being preferably of the round-link steel type with scraper bars at regular intervals. Supporting components (3) are fitted between the bars (1). Thes can be in the form of supporting feet for a central chain (10), and fitting to every other chain link between the bars. Where the chain is to one side, there can be guide pieces between the bars.
