The motorcycle shock absorber has the inner cylinder (3) sliding inside the outer cylinder (1) and outside a piston (6) fixed to the cylinder by a hollow rod (7). The inner cylinder contains a spring (15), separated from the fixed piston by a floating piston (13). On compression, oil flows from the lower chamber (8) through the damping element (16) into the upper chamber (5). It also flows into the space (12) between the fixed and floating pistons, but is returned by the action of the spring on the floating piston. This improves damping and reduces aeration of the oil.
|
