The marker comprises a single piece moulding (1) with a bending plate at which symmetrical halves (2) of the marker hinge. In line with the bending plane is a roughly semicircular slot in each half which, when brought together, form a hole (8) through which the cable can pass. Each half is extended and ends in flanges (12) with tapered faces (13), and the legend plate (4) fits between these flanges. The bore (8) is shaped such that localised pressure is exerted on the cable. The legend plate (14) has a lip (16) to prevent it from falling out.
