The automatic collating machine is to sort printed sheets etc. into the consecutive page runs required. The machine has several stations for the same type of sheet which are fixed in a straight row and an equal number of stations to receive the sorted sheets and moving past the fixed stations. There are also transfer devices for teh simultaneous transfer of one sheet each from each fixed station to the moving station located there at that time. finally, there are conveyor devices to move the collated sheets from the moving stations parallel to the fixed stations during the period of time required for the transfer of one sheet at a time.
