PURPOSE:To improve leak-proofing capability by selecting the thickness of its metal part bonding with a glass layer at the sealing part of hermetic seal and the rough on the surfaces to specified values. CONSTITUTION:Anoytic agent 2 is pressed into a vessel 1 made of nickel, catholytic agent 9 in gelled condition is provided by interposing a separator 11, and impregnant material 10 of electrolyte, the rim part of the separator 11 is fercibly pressed by a cathod ring 8 made of copper. It is enveloped by a sealing canister 4 made of Kovar alloy, which is welded the opening extremity of the vessel 1 and sealed in, to form a battery. This sealing canister 4 is shaped as a hermetic sealed part connected through a glass welding part 5 in advance to a metal lead terminal part 6 made of Kovar, its internal surface has an insulating layer 7 installed in its interior, and copper-plating is performed on the interior of the terminal part 6. This sealed part is less than 0.3mm in the thickness of the metal 6 of the terminal part which abuts on the welding part 5 is made to be less than 0.3mm, and it is formed by selecting its asperity on the surface to be shaping into asperate superficial configuration of more than 50mu. |
