The lawn surface aerator has radial hollow spurs which can penetrate into the lawn. A piston-type ejector is arranged in each hollow spur. The spurs and ejectors are opposite, extend in the roller longitudinal direction and are arranged in comb-type rolls regularly distributed over the roller circumference. Each ejector-comb row can be moved radially to the roller axis of ratation.
