<p>The compactor has a vibration exciter, consisting of two unbalanced shafts, positioned behind each other in direction of movement of the vibrator, and driven synchronously opposite to each other. The phase position of the shafts is regulated via a bevel gear differential transmission, positioned on one shaft, to the side and outside of the shaft bearing. The drive bevel gear is turnable on this shaft, and is driven in the same direction of the second shaft. The web carrying the planetary wheel is formed as a ring, and is also turnable on the unbalanced shaft. The gear is held on a shaft, carried by the ring so as to project outward in a radial direction, at right angles to the rotary axis of the shaft.</p> |
