Dental cleaning and massaging appliance - produces pulsating fluid jets by vane pump with incomplete set of vanes

Parent patent described portable equipment with a collapsible plastic container for a cleaning fluid and a pump to generate pulsating jets for cleaning the teeth and massaging the gums. The pulsating water stream is produced by a rotary vane pump, with rollers as vanes, in which alternate vanes have been omitted. The minimum pulsating frequency is pref. 2200-2400 pulses per min. Such a pump does not make the loud noise of a piston pump in the bathroom and has smaller dimensions and weight.
