<p>The system heats the intake pipe of a mixture-compressing IC engine, it has a hot spot in the pipe wall heated both by an electric plate and the engine cooling water. The cooling water flow to the hot spot (4) can be shut off at least when cold-starting and warming up, current being supplied to the plate (7) only during these phases. There can be a passage (13) between the plate and hot spot and through which the cooling water flows the flow being shut off by valves (11, 12) immediately before and after the plate.</p> |
