The sailboard for a dinghy or boat comprises an elongate planar body with a centre opening (2) for reception of a centre board (11). The board is positively located in the opening in a number of positions spaced in the longitudinal direction of the sailboard body. The board can be mounted on a carrier in the opening and may be pivotable between a lowered position normal to the board and a raised horizontal position. The centre board can be quickly relocated for adaption to different wind and course conditions. The board is also locked against being raised by the dynamic pressure of water.
