The equipment for pulverising gravel and rubble, uses ultrasonic waves at a high density, on site. The mixture is first lifted by a grid for pulverising, and then is allowed to fall through the grid, which acts as a sieve. The operations can be carried out by a vehicle carrying a rake shaped grid, whose tines carry the ultrasonic pulverising elements. The material may be subjected to more than one successive operation, and the grid may carry more than one set of pulverising elements. The material can be reduced along a grid between .25 and 5.0 metres wide. After falling onto the ground under the grid, the material can be mechanically pulverised even smaller.
