Seal for a casting used for the prodn. of an electric cable distributor plug consists of a flat, pear-shaped foamed plastics pt., which has a hole through the head and is cut along the axis of symmetry of the neck. It consists of a flexible foam, esp. (polyether) polyurethane foam (with a bulk density of 30-50 kp/m3). There are 2 holes, one behind the other along the axis of symmetry, and a tangential cut between them.
