<p>The heartbeat simulator incorporates an electronically controlled oscillation emitter. The latter consists of a piezo-ceramic disc, with electrodes for the excitation current applied to both sides of it. It is mounted on a housing wall of the simulator, with its plane parallel to that of the wall, so that the tappet of the heartbeat microphone, connected to the input of the heartbeat amplifier of the phono-cardiograph, can be placed against the disc.</p> |
