The shoe has a ventilation or breathing chamber (4). It is accommodated on the inside of the sole facing the foot at least in the ball area (1a1) of the tread sole (1) and/or the intermediate sole. Aeration ducts (6) run from the breathing chamber (4) to ventilation openings (5) which open into the side flanks (1b) of the tread and/or intermediate sole. At least the area (3a) of the welt sole (3) which covers the ventilation of chamber and ducts (6) has perforation (10) which connect the interior of the shoe with the chamber (4) and duts (6). As the foot moves it provides a pumping action to ensure sufficient air flow and ventilation to prevent the feet from perspiring.
