<p>The heating oil burner has a disc-type air baffle at the end of the flame tube and a central opening. A spray nozzle is mounted on the baffle, and there is a mixing tube coaxial to and inside the flame tube secured to the downstream side of the baffle. Oil sprayed from the nozzle enters the mixing tube together with air flowing through the baffle, opening, where the ejector effect of the air draws hot gases in the combustion area downstream of the tube in through the gap in the latter to mix with the air. The nozzle (6) protrudes through the baffle opening, so that its outlet is inside the mixing tube (4). It is enclosed by an air guide surface (7) of truncated-cone section and tapering towards the outlet at the opening, so as to form with the latter an annular gap, through which air flows into the mixing tube.</p> |
