<p>Composite, heat-insulated, pressure-resistant, container for storing liqs. or gases, comprises a gas-and/or liq. -proof liner of various shapes which is inflated for fitting and surrounded by a packing. Packing is adapted to take-up the pressure but which has sufficient cohesion and, pref. adhesiveness so as to stabilise the shape of the liner when empty and not under pressure, and maintains the spacing of the liner from and exterior framework made up of high tensile films, shells, tension members and tie rods, or in the case of rotationally symmetric shapes, is held together by exterior bags alone so that the inner pressure is held in equilibrium. The packing is pref. a urea-formaldehyde or a polyurethane foam.</p> |
