<p>A permeable web used for e.g. gas filtering, has a knife set an angle to its surface, so that as it passes underneath, the dry powdery cake is scraped off. The web may be mounted on a resilient backing layer on a drum or belt, and the balde, which cna have its angle adjusted by means of a screw, is mounted on a carrier plate which can move against a supporting arm against springs.</p> |
