<p>The layer consists of an underlayer (1), which is coated with a layer (2) of material resisting temps. up to 820 degrees C, and forms a bond with layer (1); and layer (2) is covered by >=1 layer (4) of lacquer. Layer (2) pref. contains ca. 40% of the material used for layer (1); and layer (2) pref. consists of nepheline-syenite, esp. a combination of plutonic alkali syenite and nepheline without quartz. Layer (1) may be applied directly to the bottom surface of a vessel, or to an enamel coating on the bottom of the vessel; and layer (1) may be formed on a carrier layer (5), e.g. a transfer. A layer of flux (3) is pref. used between layers (2,4); and layers (1-4) may be applied by screen printing. The metal, enamelled metal, or glass vessels, dishes or pots normally have a very smooth bottom surface; and the invention provides that surface with non-slip properties.</p> |
