The anchor bolt (3) comprises a cartridge (5) containing the components (9a, b) which, when mixed, produce an adhesive bond. When inserted and rotated with force in a bore (2) in the wall (1), the material of the cartridge disintegrates and acts as filler for the adhesive. The cartridge is formed by injection moulding and consists of a brittle plastic. It has a tubular extension (6) which fits over the end (7) of the anchor bolt. It may have longitudinal or cross-partitions (8) to separate the components. The OD of the cartridge may equal that of the screwed end (4) of the bolt.
