Title article consists of >=5 wt.% of polypropylene or an ethylene-propylene copolymer having an ethylene content =15 mol%; 5 to 70 wt.% of a polyethylene of ethylene-propylene copolymer contg. =30 mol % of propylene; and 5 - 50 wt.% of a finely divided inorganic solid having particle diameter 0.1 - 15 mu. The film contains small cavities or pores, has a rough surface with fine irregularities in finely fibrillated state, and is at least unidirectionally oriented. Cavities or pores content of the film is 40 - 300 cm3/100 g and light transmission is not >70%. The inorg. solid may be CaCO3, TiO2, SiO2, Al-oxide, Al-sulphate.
