NEW MATERIAL:An N-substituted benzanilide derivative of formula I: [A is formula II or III (R is lower alkyl group; R' is lower alkyl or alkoxy group)]. EXAMPLE:N-(4-tert-Butylphenylthio-carbonyl) pyrrolidine. USE:Fungicides. PROCESS:N-(4-tert-Butylphenyl-carbonyl)pyrrolidine of formula IV is suspended in dry pyridine, and phosphorus pentasulfide is added. The mixture is refluxed under heating to give the objective compound. |
